The Healing Dimension Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the principle that the anatomy of the body is reflected in zones/points on the feet. By applying pressure to these reflexes using gentle thumb/finger movements healing takes place within the body. Reflexology is a safe, non-invasive modality suitable for most people, even those with sensitive feet.
Reflexology is used to relieve stress and tension, improve nerve and blood supply, revitalise and balance energy and activate the body to cleanse toxins/impurities.
During a treatment, clients may experience a feeling of deep relaxation and sleepiness, a feeling of expansiveness, twitching or tingling and warmth in the areas of the body being worked on.
Afterwards, clients may feel sleepy, peaceful and relaxed. It is important to drink a good amount of water as the body processes what has happened during the session.
Over the following couple of days people may notice a change in sleep patterns including more frequent and noticeable dreams, emotional changes, increased bodily functions such as urination and bowel movements, cold-like symptoms or coughing as nasal passages and lungs clear and a desire to drink more water.
